Band from Perugia (Italy) formed in 2000, Strider is a band that tries, release after release, to find an original way to mix extreme metal, classic and modern metal along with unique melodies.
The lyrics belong for the most part to the horror/sci-fi category, along with some personal and introspective elements, and the artists and bands that could serve as reference points are Fear Factory, Arch Enemy, In Flames, Devin Townsend, Soilwork, Children of Bodom, Rammstein and Blind Guardian.
The band had across its history many gigs, took part to festivals, and did two mini tours in the eastern Europe, along with good placements (and a first prize) in various local music competitions; the songs have been airplayed in Italian and foreign radios, and the band has shared the stage or took part to festivals with many important bands such as Fleshgod Apocalypse, Blaze, Eldritch, Secret Sphere, Node, Forgotten Silence, Castaway, Rain, Infernal Poetry, Lunarsea, Srl, Subliminal Crusher, and Exawatt, among the others.
In 2017 the band releases Bioluminescent and annouces the end of its live activity, but in 2020, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the band, Strider releases for free download a final album named "The Unfallen", which is a compilation of songs written (but never released before) throughout the whole 20 years of history of the band, recorded from scratch, together with a semiacoustic medley of the most famous songs of its discography.
